2 Corinthians 4:7( NLT)
We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.
In reality we are fragile clay jar, our outer shell is broken, bruised, hurt, resented, I know I have been. Things that have happened in my life, has thinned out that shell to where it feels like if one more hurt, one more ounce of pain takes place I will break into a million pieces. I love this scripture because clay jars, when you think of them are carefully made, they are worked until perfection and when creating them if you see any type of imperfection you can start over to make a beautiful sight but any type of fall could shatter this fragile item. What is interesting to me is that clay jars are beautiful because of the texture but when you actually put something inside of them, maybe flowers, even things that are precious. That is what this scripture means is that yet outwardly we are fragile, to sickness, disease, conditions, hurts, pains, but God says through all that, through our fragile outwardly self we contain great treasure, we are fill with so much more than our current conditions and circumstances. We have the power of God to overcome, to use the great treasure that God put inside of each and every one of us! I don't know about you but that excites me! YOU ARE GREAT TREASURE! You have the opportunity to show others just as I have today that through the frailness of your life and your outside circumstances you have the power of God to who God has said you are and share with the world your great Treasure Jesus Christ and the Gift our God has given us to be even in spite of being in the midst our Circumstances.
May God Bless,
