Who Do You Boast In?

As the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the Lord.”[a]
18 When people commend themselves, it doesn’t count for much. The important thing is for the Lord to commend them. 2 Corinthians 10:17-18

But those who wish to boast
should boast in this alone:
that they truly know me and understand that I am the Lord
who demonstrates unfailing love
and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth,
and that I delight in these things.
I, the Lord, have spoken!

Jeremiah 9:19

Sometimes we boast in ourselves, how we dress, how much money we have,  the type of position we have, places we live and so forth but as a Christian we should only be boasting in God.  He is the one that has given us what we posses anyway.  I believe that when we depend and count on our our capabilites we win for a little while but then we start to fail, get aggravated and frustrated.  God wan't to provide for us and do the things that we are so deperately trying to do our self so that we can say what we have accomplished. But this is not how God want it.  Humans are so conditional.  We love then we love not, we are happy then we are sad,  we can never get the recognition we want from people because the minute we do the opposite of what we did to make them happy with us, that thing we worked hard to be known for goes out the door.  With God he knows our weakness and he forgives, he also makes a way for us to be right again even when we do wrong by confessing our sin.  Do things that God commends, like loving your neighbor, living a Holy life,  forgiving sin, take care of the elderly, widowed, and needy.  Be a good wife and mother and most of all Servant of God.  Boast in the fact that you have been redeemed, set free, and sever God with a free and open heart.

God Bless,
