Friday Faith The Lord Bless And Keep

Hi All,
As a child, my Grandmother used to say, "Take the Lord with you everywhere you go!" It took me years to truly understand what she was saying. While He does dwell inside of us, sometimes, it is a simple scripture or saying that will minister to us at that very moment. A sister at my church asked me to make customized a mug for her co-worker to encourage her and to give her well wishes as she was embarking on a new life journey. In essence, she will be able to do just as my Grandmother said because it is a traveling mug!! Since the scripture (Numbers 6:24) is on the mug, she can read it daily (or whenever she uses the mug). The hope is that it will resonate in her spirit and will be a constant reminder of the Word!
I pray you enjoyed today's project! What scripture or saying have you seen that really blessed you in your time of need?

Christian Who? Christian You?

... a simple explanation of the Christian life

The book of Romans talk a lot about being a Christian in action. As a true believe there are certain things that should make you stand out and draw people to you in a good way.  I wanted to just touch on a few things just to remind us of who we are and should be as Christian.  This is something helpful so that we can do a self evaulation to make sure we are being the best that we can be.  Being a Christian is not hard, but it is hard if you desire to live it!

Description of the Christian

  • Presents himself to God  Romans 12:1
  • Receives transformation by a renewed mind. Romans 12:2
  • Has Spiritual Gifts according to Grace from God Romans 12:6-8
  • Honors Civil Law 13:1
  • Love Others 13:8
  • Pursues Peace 14:19
  • Becomes like minded towards others 15:5
The Results of living this way is:

  • Becomes a sacrfice that is living, Holy and pleasing to God 12:1
  • Discovers and displays the will of God 12:2
  • Uses Spiritual gifts as part of Christs Body 12:6
  • Homors God 13:1
  • Fulfill God's law 13:8
  • Serves to edify all 14:19
  • Glorifies God with others 15:6
You should use every part of your being to serve and obey God. He has given so much for you and I and what he intented from the begining of time he was to establish that.  He original plan was to commune with us, to have one one one fellowship with us and to direct our paths and we obey and never persish.  He still feels the same exact way.  Nothing has changed.  Be who he called you to be and nothing less!  Don't just talk about it be about it.  God has equipped us to be successful at this Christian life!

God Bless,

Christian Resources

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. James 1:5

You may be asking for wisdom to learn more or to  get a deeper understanding of the bible.  You also may be asking for wisdom on what to read because not everything out there is clean and that you can read without feeling guilty.  It was placed on my heart to share this today so someone out there must be needing and looking to find clean reading for fun and or also reading that will help you in your Christian walk well here is a great start:

I wanted to share some resources I use for reading.  Sometimes it is hard to find something to read of quality and if you don't have the funds to purchase anything you can feel stuck.  I have added a book that I was able to download for free for my kindle fire.  It is the Daily Walk Bible.  It is free on Amazon.  I added the link to the book.  Also I added a link to Christian Fiction and Non-Fiction that is on Amazon.  I have purchased for free some great digital e-book in MOBI format.  Some of  the books are free for a day or for limited time then they go back up to regular price.  Some are free all the time.  Check it out.  I hope you enjoy this additional resource.

Friday Faith Project I Know The Lord Is Always With Me

"I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken for He is right beside me." ~Psalm 16:8 (NLT)

One day while surfing Facebook, I came across this post for for Psalm 16:8. It caught my attention so much that I had to grab the image to make a project with it. I printed it out a few times and then backed it with chipboard to make it stronger. I left it alone for awhile waiting for the perfect time to us it. As I had the urge to create and asked the Lord what should I make, this scripture and image came to mind.

There are times when I go to my crafting area and I sit down to make a project that has been dropped in my Spirit and I'm excited to make, that I am faced with a sense of fear. Fear that I don't know what I'm doing, fear that it won't turn out the way it was shown to me, fear that I will just totally mess it up. This usually causes me to think to much about things and then I don't want to continue on with the project, and it will get pushed to the back burner. Even while making this card I had to remind myself, over and over, not to think too much about it - just do it. How fitting this scripture is.

I have never known a time when the Lord wasn't there right beside me. Through all the fearful, uncertain, questionable times in my life He has always been there. Even when I could not feel Him near me or when I thought He wasn't listening to me, or that He just flat out left me, He was there. I have learned to remind myself that when I need Him and don't sense His presence that "I will not be shaken, for I know He is right beside me.

I first married at 23 and was divorced by 28. That was one of the most trying and fearful times of my life. I didn't know what to do nor did I have a clue of how to do it. But each day God showed me who I was and who He wanted me to be. He walked with me through my darkest hours, built and strengthened me when I was at my weakest and most vulnerable. He held me when I was at my lowest and loneliest and was right beside me each night I cried myself to sleep. Through all the pain He transformed me into the stronger, more independent woman that He wanted me to be and prepared me for the man that He wanted me to be joined to.

So even now when I start to doubt myself and become fearful about something I know that He will be there beside me and I need not be shaken but what surrounds me,

Friday Faith Project "A Love Story"

Hello Everyone,

Children are truly a blessing from God. In Psalms 127:3 it says, "Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him." I honestly did not understand what that scripture meant until I had children of my own. I knew children were a blessing, but never considered them as being a reward. Now I know because I could not imagine my life without them.

So today I am sharing my layout titled A Love Story. It is showcasing our (husband and me) four blessings! This photo was taken after church back in August. They looked so adorable in their dresses I decided to snap a quick photo of them. They are so precious and innocent. I want to hold on to this memory forever!

Each day I am reminded of the favor the Lord allowed me to have in these four young ladies. Although I want them to stay young, I look forward to seeing what they will become. I pray you were blessed by today's posting. Thank you for stopping by! Kenya~

My God Is Awesome He Can Move The Mountains

Pray to God (Keep Calm) and Carry On, Keep Calm Parody Christian Fridge Magnet

Father God,

I don't even begin to know how everything is going to work out in my life, but It does not matter what I know because I know you.  I thank you that I am the head and not the tail, above only and never again beneath.  Father I thank you for the blood of Jesus that was shed on the cross for me.  Your word says that I am the righteous.  Just as Abraham's faith was counted unto him as righteous so shall mine be.  For as long as I put my trust in you Oh Lord My Strength, and My Redeemer. I thank you that I am the healed protecting my health, not the sick trying to get well.  Your word says that you died for all my sickness and diseases.  Your word also says that many are the afflictions of the righteous by You delivers us from them all.  By your stripes I am healed.  Father I thank you that I will do well in this life.  Your word says that your thoughts and plans for me are to do well and to prosper.  I thank you that my time is spent well.  I thank you that everything has it proper place and time in my life.  For your word says that there is a time and season for everything under heaven.  As I look to the hills from which comes my help, for I know all my help come from the Lord. I thank you that you strengthen me everyday to do my daily activities. Being a mother and wife is not always easy, but you give me the strength, Waking up going to work is not always easy, but you give me wings like the eagles.  Father although life is sometimes not joyous but I have joy in you.  When I just think about you and how good you are I have joy because you are just that Awesome!   Today grant me the peace I need to get through the day.  Keep me at peace because your word says that weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning! Put those in front of me that you know I should minister to, to share in their trials and obstacles, to be sensitive to their needs and concerns, and share the love of Christ with. Help me to bask in  as much as your word in as I can because the more I have of your word the more I have of you. For you sent your word and it healed so I want all of you  all of your blessings, healing, wisdom, knowledge and understanding. I want  less of me today oh God.  I pray you order my day today in the name of Jesus.  Thank you for your  goodness!  In Jesus name Amen. I decree and declare every word I prayed that it is established.

Friday Faith Project "Supply All Your Needs"

Philippians 4:19 says, "And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

This familiar portion of scripture is a verse that we can easily recite, we think of often, but many times forget the reality of.  We forget that God truly is the one who provides the job to pay our bills. We forget to put our trust in Him and His faithfulness to provide for His children.  We look for ways to make things happen on our own merit first and forget to seek Him for the provision.

He provides all the things that we will ever need.  If it's healing, He provides it. If it's finances, He provides it. If it's peace of mind, understanding, wisdom, insight, He provides it.  If it's faith, He provides. If it's love, friendship, or a relationship, He provides it. If it's compassion, He provides it. If it's restoration, He provides it. If it's creativity, ingenuity, talent, He provides it. If its identity that we are seeking, He provides that too.  And most importantly, He provides the gift of eternal life.

For two years hubs and I went through a season of lack and had to trust God for everything, and I mean Everything that we needed. Looking back on it, it was such a blessed time. We drew closer to our Heavenly Father and closer to each other. He provided provided funds through an online business that He gave the idea for. We were never sick, we never went hungry, He calmed every doubt and fear that arose and assured us that all would be well in spite of what the situation looked like.  And through this season He increased our faith and trust in Him. This scripture began a huge life lesson that we learned during those two years.

With all the riches that He provides why do we fail to go to Him; to seek Him first in everything?  He is, and always has been, a God that wants to give to us more of what we need than we want it for ourselves.  My Hubs summed it as this, "He wants to be a first responder and not a last resort."

This card is a reminder that He provides all that we need,    (~Kelli) ***

My Soul Ain't For Sale

Not for sale-- what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul?
For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? 37 Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
Mark 8:36-37

This Scripture dropped in my spirit the other day while getting ready for work.  I usually talk to God, entering into his gates with  thanksgiving and into his courts with praise in the morning.  It really is my only source of strength first thing in the morning.  This scripture came  to mind.  And I starting seeking God as to why he  gave me this for today and he started to minister to me that we sometimes, So many of us want to have what we want because it makes us feel good, but you know it is totally wrong for you. Whether it is material things, Relationships, Finances. We want these things so bad and we do any and everything to keep these things, and to run after these things. Once you have it then what?  Are you happy, truly happy, do you still have the money you want, or are you still wanting more? Is that person you are so desperately wanting in your life making you loose a little bit of yourself everyday?  I have noticed with my experience with family members and just people I know that women, we tend to just give ourselves at any cost at times.  As Christian women we should not so desperately want things or relationships that we loose our soul in the process.  Relationships are a big one because we want so much in relationships with people that we sometimes forget about our relationship with God.  Sometimes we don't even see that this relationship is straying us from God but it may be.  With the things you posses and the people you have formed relationships with, are they keeping you from God or moving you closer to him. I love this scripture because it get us to make an assessment on ourselves and check whether or not all the efforts we are putting into material things, Money, people is it really beneficial to us?  It is a good question to consider and an important one.   This question today may very well be a decision maker on what you should and should not have in your life.

In the end it is not worth giving up who you really are just to have temporary things. God and his standards are forever people change, money comes and goes, things fade, break and disappear. So what profits you if you gain the whole world yet lose your soul ( who you really are and what will never die)?

I pray this helps and reach each person that it need to reach today.

God Bless,
