Feeling The Heat Of Rejection?

Rejection
That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.[a]

10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own,[b] and His own[c] did not receive Him.

As I am reading and studying this I am so amazed at how much Christ has done for us.  He was the true light and he came to do a great thing for us yet he was not received.   It was one thing to be not be received by outsiders those that do not know better, but he was rejected by those, God had chosen to protect and show himself to on numerous occasions.  How terrible is it to come and finally say here I am, you have been waiting for me all this time and then they say no, you are a devil, you are not of God.  He was not received by his own.  The very people he depended on to help him spread the good news  shot him down.   The reason I am speaking of this scripture today is because we often feel the heat of not being received.  It is one thing to not be received when you were in the world but once  you put on Christ,  you are changed, you are now called righteous, you are now cleansed by  the blood of Jesus and here goes the rejection.    You are loving, caring, helpful, kind, show the love of Christ yet you are still be denied and rejected for great jobs,  Finances, from  children, finances, people to accept you and your life in Christ.  The minute you get angry and you are a Christian you are being rejected and called a fake, or you get the phrase “and you call yourself a Christian”.    All this and you are in Christ?  But my friends, as I read this The Holy Spirit spoke to me and said see he was not received by the outsiders nor his very own.  I said man and sometimes I have felt that this should not happen to me but it happened to my Lord.  Sometimes we forget that we are in an imperfect world and as we are not perfect, others are not either.  We have to learn that not everyone is going to receive us, not everyone is going to give us the response we think we should have or should probably have.  But the one thing you do know is that you are a child of the Most High God!   Don’t let not being received by an employer, family member, someone in your community make you think any less of who God has called you to be.  Jesus was rejected right off hand but when I keep reading we see all the wonderful things he did during his time and ministry here.  He healed the sick, raised the dead, turned water in wine ( New Wine) , forgave of sins,  gave second  changes to be clean and pure.  He did all of that ducking, and disappearing keeping the religious leaders from killing him.  He showed up to those seeking him even watching them while they were searching just like the man under the fig tree.  Your Lord went through it so we will too.  Don’t be discouraged and think you are alone because you are not along.  You share something special with the Son of God. Rejection and not being Received just pushes you in the way you really need to go.

1 Peter 4:12-19

Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; 13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. 14 If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.[a] On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified. 15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as a busybody in other people’s matters. 16 Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter.[b]

17 For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18 Now

“If the righteous one is scarcely saved,
Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?”[c]

19 Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.
