Friday Faith Project

Unfortunately, death is a natural part of life. No one likes the idea of losing a loved one. We cherish the memories of them yet their absence leaves a void. As believers, we know if your deceased loved one was saved, we will see them again. So this void is only temporary!

Today’s project is a sympathy card for a friend of mine. She recently lost her sister and I thought I would make a card for her to let her know she and her family is in my thoughts and prayers. From what I know, her sister was ill and after fighting for some time, she surrendered to the Heavenly Father.

The card sentiment simply states, “You're in my Thoughts and Prayers.” I have been praying for peace and comfort during this difficult time for her and her family. Even in the darkest hours, God is still faithful and knows what he is doing! Her sister no longer have to service and I know that alone is providing the family with something to hold on to.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project, Kenya~

Faith Project Friday

The site was having technical difficulties yesterday with posting but I want to still share our Firday Faith Project.  This project is from another new addition in our Faithbooking part of the ministry.  Her name is Kelli.  She has shared her project and a little about herself.  Enjoy!
I am the wife to my best friend for the last, almost, six years. We have no children yet but we're working on it. Two years ago, hubs and I made a huge move across country from PA to OR and it has been quite a journey. I look for new ways to incorporate my relationship with Christ in all that I do and truly rely on the Holy Spirit for inspiration. I have enjoyed crafting all my life starting with a paper doll set I was given at 5. I started making outfits for my doll and that progressed to jewelry making, clay work, painting, beading, needlepoint, and an array of other mediums. I have come around full circle working with paper and I'm having a blast.
This layout is of my husband on his birthday and we had just finished having a fellowship meal with dear friends of ours. GOd is just so good and shows His goodness in so many different ways. What makes this occasion so special is that it fell on a night that we were teaching a Bible Study. We decided to have the study that night instead of going out to dinner, just the two of us, as we normally do.

Anyone who knows my hubs knows that 1. he really likes food and 2. he really really likes to eat. The couple that we had the study with surprised him with this chocolate fruit moose cup, which he loved and I had brought a cheesecake for all of us to celebrate with. Everything this night was wonderful; the food, the fellowship, and of course the Word!

Oh Taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man that trusts in Him! ~Psalm 34:8

Take the Journey!

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:1

Today is a great day to step out on faith.  It is never too late and never too early.   Sometimes we think that we need to get things together first and then we can start to focus on what God wants us to do.  That is not true.  It takes one step to start the journey.  The truth of the matter is, with faith, it is a lifelong journey.   You never make it to a point where you have to stop trusting, stop believing, and stop spending time with God or any of those things because you now know it all.  You will never reach a point where you know everything in the bible and understand everything.  I learned the hard way that you are not going to just automatically be the complete person you want to be in Christ.  Right away you don’t have all the faith you need for everything you will ever deal with.  The plan is to step out to take this lifelong journey and what you need, will be given to you.  The bible says to seek first his kingdom and all his righteousness and all these things will be added unto you. Matthew 6:33   This scripture is daring you to trust.  Daring you to just step out on God in faith and let him take you through this journey called life.   Instead of being fearful of your life situations and changes and new experiences, take them on and be excited that you get to get to know God better and learn how he can do great things in your life if you let him.  Never take a time to get to know God better and trust him more for granted. It is the opportunity of a lifetime!

God Bless,

Faithbooking Friday

I wanted to talk about a new part of beautiful awakening.  We will be having Fridays to showcase crafting using the gift God gave us.  I'm really excited!  Our first project  is  by Kenya.  She is a new edition to Beautiful Awakening and I am really excited about the blessing and inspiration that will come through her projects.  Here is a little about.

Hello Everyone,

I would like to give you a little background on the significance of the project. Some years ago I became pregnant but miscarried. I was told I would never be able to carry children unless I had surgery. I were ok with that. I figured I would just travel the world and do what God called me to do. Years later, after I getting married, I became pregnant. I miscarried again. The second time hurt more than the first However, my husband and I said if God wanted us to have children then it would happen. A year later, I experienced some pain and went to the ER after leaving work. There I discovered I was pregnant again. They did an ultra sound and I was able to see a little figure on the screen. The dr. informed me I was in the beginning stages of a miscarriage. He then said he could give me something that could terminate the pregnancy. It was my decision. He proceeded to say, no matter what, miscarriage was inevitable. I can do it now, or prolong it. He said he would give me a few minutes to make my decision and then the dr. then left the room.

I laid there with a thousand thoughts going through my head. I just saw my baby on the screen with a heartbeat but then....I contemplated calling my husband as he had no idea where I was. Then I heard the Holy Spirit say talk to me. I began to pray. I remember saying Lord, let Your will be done! I had such a peace come over me. The dr. opened the door and said, "Well?" I told the dr., "IF this is going to happen, I am going to let it happen naturally!" He was shocked at the strength of IF. He chuckled a bit and said ok, I'll see you in a few days then. I said I don't think you will but OK. He gave me my discharge papers and I went on my way.

Well that was ten years ago this month! I am proud to say not only did I carry my child full term, I had three more to follow! When man says no, God can say YES!! It is all about His timing! I did not have the surgery the original dr. said I needed in order to carry full term!

This digital layout is of my baby girl and my father-in-law meeting for the first time. I can't help but get goose bumps when looking at it after living through my story! I pray my experience was a blessing to you! Remember God can do all things. Man does not have the final say so, but God does. Be encouraged, Kenya~

New Book So long Insecurity " Teen Edition"

So Long, Insecurity: Teen Edition -
        By: Beth Moore, Susan Weibel

I have a new read to review about.  This is a book that is for teens and moms.  I first choose this book because I have Girls that are in their tween and I thought this would be great to get some insight on what teen moms go through.  I do remember being a teen but times have changed and that I am a Christian Woman, I want to know how to handle these issues with teens biblical and help my daughter know how to handle teen issues and life questions biblical.  Let me tell you Praise to Beth Moore for this,  I was totally amazed with the cover first of all.  It was bold just an exact representation of teens today.  I like that they are all dressing Modest and that caught my interest. What I love about the inside is that it is full of information and it models and magazine format.  It touched on so many issue and teen discussion and gave areas for teens to really reflect.  I love the area that they had dressing Modest and they gave examples with real teens on what is modest and what is not.  It also gave questions on how teens are trying to fit in and really  hone in on teen reflection.  This is something I wish I had as a teen.  I love that everything is biblical.  This books shows teens how to effectively handle situations and lessons with the word of God.   Included here are small lessons on Women in the bible to help you identify with those women in the bible.

Visually this book is amazing.  I love how the inside of each page is visually appealing to teens.  It is not boring and dull it is full of life.  The name of the book really deserves the name because it talks to teens about how boys look at them when they are acting and behaving a certain way.  Some of the images that they have during each chapter reflects teens loving God no matter their life style and what activity they are performing.

If are looking for a way to address teen issues with God's love and his standards this is the book for you.  My girls loved the book and it is something they can read over and over.  It helps you as a mom discuss those topics and really use the time to pick their brains on what they feel about different subjects like Boys, Modesty, loving yourself, school, beauty.  Beauty was one of my favorites because it gives your scriptures with teen topics on what really make you beautiful on the inside.  This book is overall the best things for teens I have found.  I have had different free down loadable lesson and topics I found on different websites to help me start certain conversations with my kids but this book it a one stop shop to get a really good picture about teens.  The icing on the cake it, has stories from teens that have a relationship with God and how they deal with everyday life.  I want to say more but you will just have to purchase this yourself.  I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Faith Projects and Summer Splash Outreach Handmade Blessings

I am really excited about this because I am a scrap booker and love creating.  God really gave me the gift of crafting and using my hands and for a long time I wanted to know how God can really use me for his Glory with this gift.  I have been paper crafting and crafting for a really long time and tried all avenues with my gift, selling my items and that is still fun and nice to see people buy and are interested in items you make with your hands but God really pushed me to action when he gave me the idea to use my gift of creating to serve his people.  Those who are in need of a little blessing.  That is when Operation Handmade Blessing was born.   So for a long time I wanted to share faith based crafting projects here on Beautiful Awakening with those who come and visit here for inspiration with the Word of God but can also be inspired with another gift he gave me.  I wanted to bring other Women who are talented and have really used their gift of crafting to Glorify God.  I put a call out for it and got a response so soon you will have faith based crafting Projects twice a month here on Beautiful. Projects will always be posted on a Friday!  You can comment on the creations posted and ask questions and just be inspired.  I am really excited!  I can't wait to share with you a new edition to my Ministry that will be blessing us with these projects.  Stayed Tuned for more to come on that....

Other news,  Beautiful Awakening outreach Mission Operation Handmade Blessing had a wonderful successful time at the Nursing Home Summer Splash.  the residence had a wonderful time.  Thanks to everyone who showed up from my local Church Home People of Hope Ministries!  Also to one of my Co-Workers who gave her time and great efforts to assist us.  Here are some pictures from the event.  Enjoy and God Bless,

What Are You Ordained To Do?

Walk in your Calling

Lately I have really just been wanting to have the women of God seek God for what they should be doing for him.  As young women are really living the faith of their parents they don't know what it is to have their own faith because most of what they are doing for  God is because their parents are telling them what to do.  This is not a bad thing but as we grow, move out and get our own lives you now are faced with having your own faith and developing your own relationship with God.  When I was a young adult moving out on my own this was hard for me.  Because I thought I had to do whatever others did.  I thought I had to be in church all day like other family members, do certain things the way they did, pray the way they did, praise and worship the way they did and this was totally frustrating. I did not feel that I had my own personal relationship with God or my own personal anything with him and it left me in a state of just being angry most of the time.  I desired so badly to be really close to God but I was not feeling what I was doing.  It seemed all so wrong.  Until one day I decided to seek God one on one for myself and my life.  Consult and spend time with him based on my own personal needs and desires.  I started journaling.  I bought a really nice journal called Converstations with God from a church I was attending and I begin to really understand how to have my own personal relationship with God.  I begin to tell him my desires, my needs, my wants, my dislikes, and he being to help me do what I needed to do to get positioned and planted in my own relationship with him.  My relationship began to grow and just flourish.  The reason I am posting today is to find whatever it is that you are desiring to do seek God on it and just walk in it.  I never thought that I would be a Ordained Bible teacher and Minister, teaching in nursing homes and at church.  I had no idea that I would have a Charity for the elderly and the gift of crafting that God gave me to do I will use it for his Glory and blessing the Elderly who live in Nursing Homes and have women from all over the world helping me.  I never thought  I would have created an online Ministry that bless so many people all over the world.  Never would I have thought that I would be doing this and getting so much joy out of it.  It all started with seeking God and finding my own space in God's World.   You are not going to pray like everyone else, serve the same like everyone else, spend the same amount of time that others spend with God, or spend it the same way as others but you do what works for you.  As long as God is pleased and it is in what you know the word says do it.  you are your own individual person and don't let the work someone else is  doing make you fearful to do anything.  What someone else is doing may not be what he has for  you.   How great is it for you to do what you are called to do than to do a bunch of things you are not called to do.  Yes you are doing much work but is it what  you are called to do.  Take time aside and ask God what is it that he called you specifically called to do.  Each one of us have our own calling from God.  I just thought I would share this little message that may help someone today.

Note*  From Beautiful Awakening: I was Ordained by my Pastor in my Local Church as a Minister and Bible Teacher where I have received my Ordination through.  We are getting comments on this link for people to get Ordained Online which I do not know who these individuals are, nor do I have an affiliation with them   I am not promoting them and what they are encouraging.  I am not encouraging anyone to get  what they are calling it Get Ordained Online Certificate".  I got Ordained through years of committed Service in my local Church and Operated in the gifts that I am now doing which is Teaching the Word of God.  I have been deleting the posts that seem to be making comments to the postings but they are also adding links to a site to pay a lot of money for an Ordination Certificate without these individuals knowing if what gift  you have  to receive an Ordination in a specific area, and they are charging money for a certificate you can get  through your local Ministry. Getting Ordained is not about just a paper but it is really who you are as I dicuss in the message above.  Please do not click on any links as I do not post link resources in my comments section I post them in the main posts of my site.  Most resouces I post are free like free bible classes and freeWhen I click on the individuals who are posting this information in my comments section they have no other site activities, and or information about themselves.  Also other information is marked private on pages.  Please use caution when clicking on these links as they are not from Beautiful Awakening Ministries.  I may not catch a comment they post and I want you all to be aware.  Also I do get e-mail notification of all comments that come through so this is how I am finding the info so fast.  If it continues I may Moderate the comments meaning I will see them first before they come to you and delete anything  that does not fit to protect my members and visitors.  Thanks, Toccara

God Bless

His Grace Gives Amazing Things

Your grace amazes me...reason for my daughter's middle name.

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.  Ezekiel 36:26-27 NIV

God's grace is amazing.  As today I was studying on it and really stumbled across this scripture and really wanted to dig deeper into grace, I found that when we use grace it is just the surface.  It goes beyond just knowing that God gives us what we don't deserve.  That unmerited favor.  It is that Voice, that is calling us to change.   It's not about God giving us grace when we are being stupid and still helping us anyway but it is to cause us to change.  It's like a relationship with someone.  When you make a mistake and you know it is a terrible one, but the person that you have caused that great pain too, showed your grace, and you in return loved that person even more and that grace they showed you caused you to want to make a change because of the love, forgiveness and compassion they showed even while you were in your mess.  That is what Grace is.  It gives you the power to change.  When you experience his grace and understand a portion of what it means, it has the power to help you actually be successful at that change.  God designed this just for us.  He gave us grace before we were even put on this earth so it is a constant renewal a constant change of heart.  That is what this scripture is.    God gives us the newness.  He gives  the spirit we need to continue in grace and to never take for granted again.   God is the only relationship we have in the world that is not one that if you do this then I will do that.  It is not on barter.  Grace is what he has given us and we can't do anything to gain it or keep it.  Just take what God has given you and follow his instructions they will never lead you astray,  Know that His grace is genuine and it is for you to be successful!

God Bless,
