Being Grateful Made Easy

I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.”  John 4:38

As I am sitting here at 4:30am reading God's word I did not know what to read but as I was reading  a scripture I have read many times came alive for me this day.  When you read this scripture you must go up to the previous scriptures to get the full understanding.  Jesus is traveling and he comes to a well where there is a woman.  A Samaritan woman.  His disciples have gone off and he is thirst.  He asks this woman for a drink and she is shocked that he even asked her because of her background.  She questioned and Jesus said if you only knew who was asking you, you would have said to me who asks for water and I would give you living water.  This woman starts to talk about Jacob and how great they were and Jesus told her how great the father is and who he is.  He convinced her by telling her all her dirty business.  This woman then goes and tell everyone she know that the Messiah is here.  They all come and see if what she says is true.  By this time the disciples are back and they are wondering what is going on. They ask themselves why is he talking with her.  All these people are gathered around and they are trying to take him away from the people by telling him to come eat.  He  tells them that he has food.  The disciples thought that one of the Samaritan people had fed him while they were out buying food but he told them he has food that they do not know of.  He explained that the food he eats of is to do the will of the father.  This leads up to the important scriptures for today.  In verse 35 he tells the disciples do not wait and say there is 4 more months  and then comes the harvest. He says to lift up your eyes and see the fields for they are already white for harvest!  Verse 36 says And he who reaps receives wages ,and gathers fruit for eternal life that he who sows and reaps may rejoice together.  Verse 37 For  in this the saying is true: One sows and another reaps.  Then our verse comes in above John 4:38.

The reason I wanted to share this is because we need to be grateful.  God has given us everything we need to reap the harvest.  The blessings that are promised.  He sent us to reap what we did not even labor for.  We enter the labors but we did not have to do the work.  Jesus set the foundation for us.  He gave us the harvest.  I am grateful because I did not put in any of the work to have the blessing in front of me, to provide people with a foundation but I am getting the harvest.  We should all be grateful for what he has established....His Word.  He came and walked, traveled many roads, endured many persecutions, many rough nights to have what we see in front of us today.  But sometimes we are so quick to complain of what we have to do now just to maintain the flow of the harvest.  How awesome is it that we did not have to do any work but it is all laid out for us to just reap.  It is like going into a field of your favorite Vegetables and you have a basket to take as much as the harvest as you need and all you did to have this opportunity to do this is show up.  Show up ready to sweat a little, use a little muscle, endure a little heat but the best part is just there waiting for you to fill the basket.  Something to think about right?
Question:  How hard really is it to do the things that God asks us to do to maintain the blessing?
We have something to work with, to keep us motivated but why is it so hard to do it?   Okay I let's go down this road,  the Word has been done, then written, made into thousands of languages for understanding, different study material has been put in the bibles, different things to help us with all of life's situations. Made for those who can't see well so there is a large print, some for kids, teens, adults, married couples, men, women etc... but all we have to do is pick it up read it and then live it.  sounds simple right?  Yet we find it really difficult to do at times.  This is what he means when he  says " I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.” John 4:38.  Be grateful for what you have been given it has been made easy.  Each one of us have sowed some and reaped some.  I am sowing right now into your lives as I teach messages and provide encouragement to you through Beautiful Awakening and you are reaping the harvest.  You are reaping that for which you have not labored. I am laboring right now at the wee hours of the morning.  you are reaping encouragement and answers to your situation.  Now I am able to Labor because someone else was sowing and I was  reaping for what I had not sown for.  When growing up people were sowing into me with prayers, taking me to church, teaching me the word, ministering salvation to me when I was a teen, making sure I made it to teen functions at church and to bible study. they were laboring and I was reaping the harvest of which now I am sowing and you are reaping. See how this thing works.
Today be grateful for what ever comes your way.  When we look back on what God has provided to us Being Grateful is Made Easy!

 Have a great Monday
