Encouragement

Scriptures For Encouragement!

I know that sometimes we need to have scriptures for one particular subject when we are going through something.  This week I wanted to provide scriptures on Encouragement.  These are some great ones that I have used and read during a time when I needed to be encouraged.  There is no encouragement like what the bible has provided for us to be strong and very courageous,.   God desire is for us to have the help we need when we need it.  So I want to help with a need I think we all need.  print it out for your reference and let these scriptures become a part of your armor.

When The Promise Become True

The Empty Tomb

20 Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb. Then she ran and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him.”
Peter therefore went out, and the other disciple, and were going to the tomb. So they both ran together, and the other disciple outran Peter and came to the tomb first. And he, stooping down and looking in, saw the linen cloths lying there; yet he did not go in. Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb; and he saw the linen cloths lying there, and the handkerchief that had been around His head, not lying with the linen cloths, but folded together in a place by itself. Then the other disciple, who came to the tomb first, went in also; and he saw and believed. For as yet they did not know the Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. 10 Then the disciples went away again to their own homes.

Mary Magdalene Sees the Risen Lord

11 But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the tomb. 12 And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. 13 Then they said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?”
She said to them, “Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him.”
14 Now when she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, and did not know that it was Jesus. 15 Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?”
She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, “Sir, if You have carried Him away, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away.”
16 Jesus said to her, “Mary!”
She turned and said to Him,[a] “Rabboni!” (which is to say, Teacher).
17 Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’”
18 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord,[b] and that He had spoken these things to her.

John 20:1-18

What an scary and exciting time this must have been for Mary and the disciples.  What Jesus had promised them was finally coming true.  It had come true in fact.  When Mary went to find Jesus in the tomb she did not find him and she immediately started to doubt.  She immediately became afraid and started to freak out!  She ran to the others and got them in on her doubt.  Only when Jesus came to her and asked her why she was crying and she saw him then she knew that The Promise Became True!    She held on to him and did not want to let him go.

See Jesus thought it to be important to show himself before he went back to the father.  FOr one Mary loved Jesus and he Loved her very much.  She was in pain because she did not know what happened to her future, her hope, her promise for life.  See people like to make Mary and Jesus relationship a perverted one but it fact he did love Mary, he did care for her in a special way but he assignment was greater than just Mary it was for the whole world.

See sometimes we know that promises that God gives us but we have a hard time keeping them in our heart.  We doubt and freak out the minute it looks like things are turning for the worse or God promises for you are not going to come to pass.  But in fact they are.  What God promise you it is yours.  God promises for you will be right on time and they will become truth in your life.  The things he promise are already set in stone.  They are already worked out and done it heaven.  Remember God sits outside of time and that he knew us before  we were in the womb so what he promised is going to become true in out lives.  That is the good news after all.  That he died and rose again so that we can have all that he died to give us with eternal life being the best of them all.  Just as he sat and watched Mary look for him and came to comfort her to let her know He was there by calling her name.  The same he is near you calling your name to redeem the promise.

Don't give up don't loose heart!  God is for you!  He will make his promise to you at the perfect appointed time.  Don't rush him, don't give up on him , he is for you.  He is your hope and your future.    For those of you that may not know what I am talking about, get to know him.  Invite him into your heart and know that he want to fulfill also his promises in your life.
