Positivity or Be Quiet

Philippians 2:14-17

Do all things without grumbling and faultfinding and complaining [against God] and questioning and doubting [among yourselves], That you may show yourselves to be blameless and guileless, innocent and uncontaminated, children of God without blemish (faultless, unrebukable) in the midst of a crooked and wicked generation [spiritually perverted and perverse], among whom you are seen as bright lights (stars or beacons shining out clearly) in the [dark] world, Holding out [to it] and offering [to all men] the Word of Life, so that in the day of Christ I may have something of which exultantly to rejoice and glory in that I did not run my race in vain or spend my labor to no purpose. One of the most difficult things to do is to be quiet and put Philippians 2:14-17 into practice.  I have been finding it really hard to get out of bed to go to work, to do my job with Joy and peace and sometimes this happens.  But what I remember each morning is that although It takes everything in me to get out of bed and go to work, I tell God thanks for the job he has given me.
Instead of complaining and grumbling which I may do for a about a minute or two I ask my Fahter for his help.  I know that all of my help comes from him, and I know that he will be with me.  I have learned to just be quiet. When I even think of being negative, I consciously  just chose what I am going to think about the situation and respond based on God's promises.

When you think about complaining and having a pity party, with Debbie Downer, make sure you be quiet listen to God and make sure you move on.  If you can't speak positive against your situations just be quiet.  Remember as a child of God you are handling your situations different that those that are not believers.  We are sunlight to the rest of the world.
