It Is Yours

 Deuteronomy 30:11-14

For this commandment which I command you this day is not too difficult for you, nor is it far off.
    It is not [a secret laid up] in heaven, that you should say, Who shall go up for us to heaven and bring it to us, that we may hear and do it?
    Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, Who shall go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear and do it?
    But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your mind and in your heart, so that you can do it.

This scripture here is so important and so uplifting and encouraging.   Whatever your ministry whatever God has planted in you as a gift. You can do it.  If it is your walk with God that you feel is not all that it could be it can be.  If it is a better Mother you want to be but don't seem to know where to start.  If it is a better wife or Husband that you want to be.  Maybe you want to be a better worker, a better leader in your Congregation.  Maybe a bad habit you need to kick.  You can beat this.  The answers to your problems are not far away.  They are near.  The hope that you need, the breakthrough that you need is near.  How great it is to know that you do not have to cross a sea, no one has to go to heaven and bring it to you it is in your heart, and your mind.  Do think as a Woman of God that anything is this life is too hard for you.  Victory is yours, success is yours!  If you take what is near which is God's word you can have anything IT IS YOURS!!!!

Here is an example I like to use, The woman with the issue with blood had this issue for a long time.  But when she knew what she needed was near her she took hold of it.  She fought her way through the crowd to get what she knew belonged to her because she believed in Jesus.  We have to fight the same way and believe that we can do all things through Christ who strengths us. Philippians 4:13.  The race is yours to win.  It may not be easy but If it was easy all the time then we would not need God would we.  Take a stand today.

If you need prayer in this area please e-mail me at the e-mail listed in my sidebar and we will keep you lifted up.

Confess and Feel Great!

Sometimes the hardest thing is asking for forgiveness.  Sometimes hew have done so much or maybe that one thing has hurt someone so bad that we can't even gather the words to say.  Especially when we are dealing with out heavenly Father we feel just because he knows all that we don't have to ask and confess the things that are wrong in our life.  For me I know the minute I confessed all that I know I was not doing right at and had to examine in my life I became free!  Knowing that I had told him everything and that there was no condemnation was the best thing I had ever done.  So today this scripture came across my path and I wanted to share this with you all.  Confess those sins it will make you feel so much better.  He promises to forgive if you promise to Confess!

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Happy Thanksgiving

Wishing you and your family a great Thanksgiving day.  Enjoy all your family friends and the time that you do not always get to rejoice and just fellowship.  Be thankful for forgiveness, for love, for peace, for joy, for patience, and for your health and strength.  I know when I was going through my hard time what kept me going was to be thankful that I can do what I can do and that it could always be worse.  Some of you are traveling this holiday be safe, keep God with you where ever you go.  Give to someone who may not be having a thanksgiving as fortunate as you are.  What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?

  With some of the things that has happened to me in the last few days I would say I am thankful for the power of forgiveness, and the power it holds. When we wrong people in our lives or feel someone has wronged us the power is in your ability to forgive.  You can stop blessings in your life for not being forgiving.  You can cause someone not to take God seriously for not being forgiving.  Look at Jesus when he died on the cross.  If he did not say father forgive them for they know not what they do.  We all would be doomed right now.  He would not have been the perfect sacrifice if he had not been forgiving.  This power has worked in my life two fold this week.  I have had to forgive and let go for something that at one point was impossible but I choose to let God heal me of those scars.  Then two days later I was forgiving for something that someone felt I had done wrong to them.  Both situations unrelated but God had made his promise come true.   There is always seed time and harvest.  I am thankful and bless this year!  Last year I was sick, trying to get better still believing God for my healing and today I stand Healed in the name of Jesus.

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.

Be Encouraged! Be Thankful!

Today I wanted to leave a message and give you a teaching but tonight I would like to just encourage you to be strong and only very courageous. Deut. 31:6 You are more than a conqueror.  You can be all that you can be and you can be successful in your walk with God.  Sometimes it may seem hard but you can do it!  Surround yourself with people who love God and those that can bulid you up.  One word of advice I can give you is never take advice from someone you would not like to trade places with.  If you need encouragement today I suggest you read about the apostle Paul.  He was full of encouragement and he knew how to build up the new believers.  He was fully of hope even when he was in prison.  When he had his thorn in his side he still had a word.  See when you are  going through sometimes all you need is a word.  When you need confidence all you need is a word.  How awesome is it to know we have a God that can give us a word that can change our life.  Be encouraged!!!!  I would like to tell all of my member that I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.  Give if you have to give.  Be thankful for what you have this year instead of complaining of what you don't have.  Be thankful that the children are running around getting on that last nerve and not in a coffin, or hospital bed sick with cancer.  So many families this year are wishing to be where you are.  They are wishing if only they had the same opportunity you have to spend a happy day with your family.  They are thankful each moment that their children, mom, dad , or brother is breathing and can see atleast one more day.  So be full of thanksgiving this day because God is with Us!  He is with us and has been since the begining of creation.  I just wanted to talk to my people today and be of an encouragement.  The word is good and giving scriptures, is always great but it is also good just to talk and encourage.  If you need prayer please send me an e-mail which is listed in the sidebar.  We would love to pray for you and your family.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." Deut. 31:6

Thank You,

Friday Cup of Tea

 Now the just shall live by faith;
But if anyone draws back,
My soul has no pleasure in him.”

Hebrews 10:38

Life is full of circumstance and tribulation, test, tempatation, but if we believe in God we are commanded to live by faith.  It is not an option but a command.  We are not to draw back from God and what he has told us we are entitled to.  I want to talk about the prophet Habakkuk.  He was full of questions to God.  Questions about life, why things were the way they are.  Why is seemed like God was silient.   God gave his answers to his questions.  Maybe tonight you have questions.  Why things have not turned around for you yet.  Why your children have not changed.  Why your husband has not changed.  Why your job situation has not changed.  But I want you to know that God has the answers for you.  We have to wait for his appointed time.  He timing is the best timing.  When we try and do things ourself  we delay a sure future.  Ask questions God wants to give them to you but live by faith.  Have faith in what he had promised for staying strong and not giving up.  Read Habakkuk it is a short book and see what God promises at his appointed time.  I am going to go further on this teaching but I felt someone needed a little something to hear tonight.

God Bless

Christ Invitation Bible Study Lesson

Today I would like to share a scripture with you and talk about it a little bit.  We all know that Christ invites us to come and accept him as our Lord and Savior but I want to talk about the invitation to continually depend on him and trust in him.  We have to accept the invitation to not just come to him  When you are going through something you have to reach out to the one who invited you to come to him and give his the issues that concern you.

Matthew 11:28
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

He is telling us to give him our burdens and our problems.  If we are weary and heaven burdened he says come to me.  We have to start accepting this invitation.  He is begging us to come and depend on him.

While we are seeking him for only stuff he is telling us to come to me so I can strengthen you in me to do more for me.  To be a better servant to be a better minister, teacher, leader, praise singer or dancer whatever gift he has given you he wants you to seek him for it.  We have to stop seeking him for the small stuff. oh I need a bill paid, oh my husband is acting up.  The children want these name brand shoes and I can't afford it can you help me God?  This is stuff that he want to make sure we have but we can't make these things  the only time we are coming to him.
In the book of John he told the rich man to give up all his riches and follow him.  The rich young man went off mad because he did not want to give up his stuff.  Get rid of all the baggage the possessions and God will give you the rest he promised.

God Said You Are Wonderful

Acts 17:28
For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

I love that I live, I move, and have my being in Christ.  That everything I do, dream to accomplish, all that I am is in him.  I say this to those who deal with self esteem issues.  It is such a heavy burden to have not being comfortable with yourself, or like certain things about yourself.  Know that in his eyes you belong to him.  That in him you are Complete!  You are without spot or blemish in the sight of your God.  If you are a child of God you should not burden yourself with thoughts of not being good enough, not being pretty enough.  When God created you and this earth he said that it was good.  He loves you, He created you.  Today we are going to look at some scriptures that will speak against low self esteem.

  Psalm 139:13-14
For you created my inmost being;
   you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
   your works are wonderful,
   I know that full well.

1 Samuel 16:7
But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.

Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,
Psalms 17:8

I would like to talk a little bit about this scripture because this scripture shows how God is not a God that looks at appearance.  God choose David because of his heart, his inner most being.  When Samuel was to go out and find a King that God was to appoint, Samuel thought that some of the men brought to him was the one because of their appearance.  Because they had a nice form built, handsome, and all of the above but God said no this is not what my eye sees.  My eye see far beyond looks, a smile, how much makeup, what type of nose you have, or do you have wrinkles in your forehead.  God sees the inside of you, who you really are.

In the end your heart is what matters.  God judges you on your heart.  God told Jeremiah that he formed his insides the way he saw fit for him.  That he was wonderfully made.  That when he made him he was not afraid that he would not look the way he intended for him to look, He was not afraid that he would be incapable of doing all that God wanted him to do.  Don't be afraid of  yourself, of your mistakes, of your looks, of your abilities because just as he formed Jeremiah in his mothers womb so he formed you in your mothers womb.
