Monday Devotional (Fearless)

I will not talk with you much more, for the prince (evil genius, ruler) of the world is coming. And he has no claim on Me. [He has nothing in common with Me; there is nothing in Me that belongs to him, and he has no power over Me.]

John 14:30 AMP

Paul was fearless!  Paul knew that his maker had him in his hands and that it was not over until God said it was over.  Paul in his situations did not complain murmur, or give the devil any room to make his home in his mind.  Paul was a man who knew who he was in Christ.  He told the church that he will not talk with them much more about the situation about my death, about where I am because The prince of this world is coming and instead of me complaining about where I am and what I am going through, I need to get the truth out to you the, I need to equip you so that you can do what I have done for Jesus.   He had to let the people know that look this evil genius, and ruler has no claim on me.  He had nothing in common with me, nothing I have belong to him, nothing in me belongs to him.  The most powerful thing Paul said was he has no power over me.

We must know that the enemy has no power over us.  When we are being tried and tempted it may seem like his has power but remember he is a liar and he is a evil genius.  He is crafty and a sneak.  There is no truth in him.  We give him too much room to just have his way.  For some of us he has been having his way for a long time.  I can remember before my eyes were opened to a few things, the devil was having his way with me.  I was a Christian, going to church, active in my church but because I lacked knowledge in some areas he had his way with my thought process, the way I served in the church, my family, husband etc.  I knew the enemy was behind all of what I was going through but I thought that he had that power to do so... I felt that apart of me belonged to him because of my past.  I had to realize that I had been washed with the blood of Jesus and that I was a new creation, that all things old had passed aways and all things had became new.  Once I knew that it was in God I trust, the author and finisher of all things, the mighty hand that holds me, my strong tower, my defense, the alpha and omega, Lord of everything, The Ancient of Days,  The Lion and the Lamb, the Great I am.  I too am fearless.   You too can be come fearless! you too can say devil you have no hold on me, nothing I have belongs to you.  Not my health, not my strength, not my time, not my resources, not my children, not my husband, not my hob, not my love, not my patient, not my peace, not my joy, not my happiness.  He does not have the power to have any of those things if we fight to keep them.

Crucify that flesh that keep giving the devil power, reign and clain over our lives.  I know so many of us can say we give one or more of these things to the devil on a daily basis.  Make a list of all the things you give the enemy by complaining, getting angry, sinning etc.  You will see that you are giving him too much of what does not belong to him.

you may ask how do I crucify the flesh?

Do the opposite of what is a normal human reactions are to problems
James 1:2
Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations.

Stop feeding the flesh and its evil desires If you stop feeding it, it will eventually die
Colossians 3:5

So kill (deaden, deprive of power) the evil desire lurking in your members [those animal impulses and all that is earthly in you that is employed in sin]: sexual vice, impurity, sensual appetites, unholy desires, and all greed and covetousness, for that is idolatry (the deifying of self and other created things instead of God).

The wonderful news is that you have a choice to stop giving the enemy was does not belong to him.  Paul decided that he was not going to identify himself with anything the enemy had to offer.  He made it clear that he had no connection with him and that the enemy could not try and connect himself to Paul.  Paul was fearless and on every occasion got fearless results from God.  He gave Paul tremendous strength, endurance, wisdom, knowledge, encouragement and ministry.  Being Fearless means being Free!

I feel great going into a Monday morning at work and in my future of being like the apostle Paul in being fearless!

Have a great Monday Morning!

Making a Habit of Being Hopeful

In what or whom do we hope?
Psalm 39:7
Lord, where do I out my hope?  My hope is in you.

You place your hope in the Lord himself, because he holds you fast today, and he determines your future.

Why should I trust God as my hope?
That by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.
This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, Hebrews 6:18-19

It is impossible for God to lie.   If God said something that is the truth, that settles it.  He is all truth, he cannot break his promises he gives his people.  His word is forever!  God must be trusted as your hope because he alone conquered death by raising Christ from the dead.    I have decided to put all my trust and hope in God.  I am making a habit out of being hopeful.  We have to walk around with hope attached to our hips.  It must not depart from you.

It is not always easy to be hopeful and every situation but if you are smart you will make it your business to be.  The enemy tries everything he can to try and take away our hope.   Let’s look at Abraham.  He was told from God himself that he will have a child in his old age.  Now for Abraham that seemed impossible because not only was he old but his wife Sara was also.    But the bible says that Abraham hoped against all hope.  Romans 4:18.  No matter how impossible it seemed he made a habit of being hopeful.    Romans 15:4 states that we have the word of God to give us hope.  That what when we use what we are learning through reading of the word, prayer, and exercising our faith it gives us hope.  The more we ready, study and take time out to understand God the more we are to depend on it.   Think about when you were a child, you learned to depend on your parents as they did for you, as their words became truth.  If they told you dinner will be ready soon, they have faith that dinner will be ready soon.  When that food comes to the table, you now have found faith in them and their words.  So the next day you are hopeful fully persuaded that you will get dinner again and the next day.

This is the same with having hope in God and his promises.  Each day you see a little of his word come to pass whether a simple prayer to give you the strength to deal with a situation, or help you through your brokenness, or even help you to tame your tongue these things give you hope and help you build on making a habit out of being hopeful.

Promise from God Psalm 130:7 O Israel, hope in the Lord; for with the Lord there is unfailing love.  His redemption overflows.

Love Image

I saw this image on the net and thought that it was a cool picture.  I was just thinking of love and wanted to share something and this is what I found.

Faithbooking Friday

Here is a project I made awhile ago.  This mini album was made to help me overcome worry and to help me continue in my freedom from worry.   I put scriptures in here and words from the word of God to help me keep pressing on toward my goal of not worrying.  I used this bird chipboard album to represent what God said about if he take care of the birds in the air how much more will he take care of us.  So this album helps me remember that I do not have to worry because I have God.  I hope you enjoy my project this Friday and my hopes are to make time to faithbook more and have more inspiration for you all.  If you would like to share your faithbooking project and have them displayed here on beautifulawakening please send an e-mail to beautifulawakening listed in the sidebar.  I hope you have a wonderful Friday.

God Bless,
