How Does God Care For Me?

This may be a question for some today so I wanted to share some scriptures that may blessing and encourge you in your walk.  In your walk through life you may be at the point where you are experiencing something that maymake you feel as if God does not care for you, But my friend I want to encourage you today that God does care for you.  He loves you and he wants what is best for you.

Psalm 121:7-8  The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life.  The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go both now and forever.

Psalm 145:18-20  The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, who fear him; he hears their cires for help and rescues  them.  The Lord protects all those who love him, but he destroys the wicked.

Matthew 6:30  If God cares so wonderfully for the wildflowers that are here today and thrown in the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you.  Why do you have so little faith?

When we stress till the point of sickness and depression we are showing our Father that we have little faith.  he is telling us he cares for us and giving us the smaller things in life that he cares for so why would he not care for us.  God has shown his care for me over and over again.  Today he has shown his love for me not only by waking me up but helping me when  I called out to him when faced with a situation.  He always comes through and put individuals in our way that love him so that we can help and edify each other.  I am blessed to know that these scriptures are true.  They should be true for you also.  Now that we know God cares for us we are going to talk about tomorrow how to show other we care.  Please meditate on these scriptures and get ready to learn how to pay his love toward foward.  I will also recap today's scriptures and give an overview.

God Bless,

Tomorrow's Lesson: How can I show Others I Care?

Monday, April 25, 2011

I would like to speak to you about Christlikeness.  Some may not know what it is meant.   I even believe that some of the younger adults that may be babes in christ will benefit from this message today.  If you have young adult girls that you can maybe e-mail or send them to this site to view this message I believe that it will be a blessing.

So what is meant by "Christlikeness"?
In the book of Luke: 9:23 Jesus said to the crowd, "if any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross daily and follow me."   One of my sisters in christ and she is also my step mom taught on this at bible study last week.  It was a really good message.  When  I am seeking God to have messages for my members and for those who may be coming through the site I stopped on this subject.  Christlikeness.  When I was new in my christian walk years ago I wanted to really know what is it to really be like him.  How can I be like him, and is it actually possible.  When our pastors talk about christ and how we need to be more like him, be transformed into his image we sometimes tell ourselves that it is easier said than done.  For many years it was easier said than done.  I want to encourage you today that it can be easily done.  I don't want it to take you many years as it took me so  Iwant to share some points with you.

You may ask how can this be easy.?  What makes it easy is a made up mind.  Often decisions are hard for us because our minds are not totally made up yet.  For example just the other day I went to an outlet mall, there were so many things that I wanted but I know I had a certain amount of money  Iwanted to spend.  I had to choose between a owl necklace and some long colorful socks that I love to wear to bed.  The owl necklace and the pack of sock were the same price but It was so hard to make the decision because I did not want one more than the other, I wanted them both the same.  It took be 10 minutes to decide what I was going to do and it was hard because my mind was not totally made.  Finally I made the decision of what  Iwanted to do.  I finally made up my mind that I really wanted the owl necklace more if I had to make the decision.  The same is with out realationship with Christ.  We have to have our minds totally made up that we want to serve him and be just like him.

Christ is the ultimate example of how to live a life pleasing to God.  If you pattern your life after him, you will please God.  To be like Christ is your goal.  You want to think his thoughts, show his attitudes, and live as he would live here on earth today.  He wants us to pattern his ways so that it can be easy to please God.  He did not leave us without an example on how to do this.  We just have to follow the example he had given us and stop trying to do it on our own and out of our own will.

Luke 6:36 You must ne compassionate, justas your father is compassionate.
A compassionate lifestyle is a sign of Christlikeness

John 13:14-15 Since I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash each others feet.  I have given you an example to follow. Do as I have done to you.

Is he stating that we should go and wash feet all day? No not neccessarily but he want us to be compassionate and show love toward one another just as he did his diciples.

1peter 2:21. 23  God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you.  He is your example, and you must follow in his steps...He did not retaliate when he was insulted, or threaten revenge when he suffered.  He left his case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly.

A life of humble service is a neccessary part of Christlikeness.

Now that we have learned what is meant about "Christlikeness" and why it is is often hard to do so and that we must have our minds made up, I want to teach you on how to become like Christ.

2Corinthians 3:18  All of us who [ believe in Christ] can see and reflect the glory of the Lord.  And the Lord - who is the Spirit- makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.

Ephesians 4:15  We will speak the turth in love, growing in every way more and mroe like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.

Phillippians 1:6 God, who began the good work within you, will continue  his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ returns.

Know that the work of the Lord is a daily and continual work.  He will continue to make you more like his son everyday until you leave this earth.  The work never stops, you never become too good that you do not need his work done in you anymore.   Remember eariler in the message in Luke 6:36 he tells us to take up our cross daily and follow him.  You have to do it daily.  As someone put it what is our cross?  The cross are those things that keep us seperated from  him. Our thoughts toward one another, our actions, our motives in life, our attitudes all the things that does not display "Christ" are what we have to take up.  We know that we can't stop these things on our own so we have to take them, pick them up and give them to him.  God's spirit is the only one that can do the change and work in our lives to transform us into his likeness.  you become more like Christ be carefully studying how he lived and loved.  When you invite him to work his powerful love through you, you will begin to reflect his character.

Father in the Name of Jesus, I thank you that you did not leave me doomed but you left and example for me so that I can have a realtionship with you.  you left your Precious Son and your instructions are to be more like him.  I thank you that having a Christlike character is available to me.  I pray that in the areas where I am not displaying Christlikeness, your Holy Spirit show me so that I can repent and make that my goal.  Help me to be more like your Son.  In Jesus name I pray Amen.

Happy Resurrection Sunday

“Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.”

I am so ever grateful that Jesus was faithful in his mission to save mankind.  Have you ever wondered what would it be like, what  would your life be like if he had not died for your sins?  What hope would we have?  I could give a huge message on the resurrection but today I want us to just reflect on those two questions.  When Mary and the others went to check and see if their Lord was in the tomb they had great hope and expectation that he would not be there.  Although Mary felt some fear because she did not see him she came to the conclusion that he had risen just as he said he would.  We know from scripture that Jesus rose from the dead and is now sitting at the right hand of the father but this day he take part in his broken body and his blood shed.

I am so grateful that I can partake in this day.  For me it is celebration and remebrance of what he did for me.  make this day personal so that you can reap the benefits of knowing what this day is all about.  Some call it Easter and some call it Resurrection Sunday.  But whatever you call it make sure that you are sharing with family, children, and friends that this day is not about hiding eggs, wearing the finest dress, and easter bunnies but about the man who died to save the entire world.

have a great Resurrection Sunday

A Life In Balance And Self Control

Having balance is something I believe most of us have trouble with or have had trouble with. There is so much going on in our busy lives. When we can't make an event, answer a phone call or even return one it is because we are so busy. The kids need to be at some sort of after school activity, you need to start dinner, make appointments, take care of hubby, and maybe get some school work done, church is tonight and so on.  I struggled with a  long time with having balance. I got everything I needed to get done but almost everytime I spent too much time on one activity and caused other things to be delayed and therefore spent all day and night getting things done. There was no balance. Kids wanted more time, husband wanted more time, I wanted more time for myself and it just was not happening the way i wanted it to be. If I did this activity I would have to give up that and if I did this my husband is going to be upset because I have not spent time with him and it left me resentful of things and people because I felt like they were taking up the time I wanted for me.

I had to realize that God wants us to have balance.  I have to pray every morning that God orders my day because if not I will be out of balance.  I had to also realize that somethings can wait! yes I said it, they can wait! Not everything has to be done right then and there.  Some women feel that if everything is not done that day the world is going to end.  I used to be that way.  If my entire house was not cleaned from top to bottom each night I would not be able to sleep.  no matter what time it would be I would clean the house top to bottom even if that meant going to bed at 2am.  I also realized that my lack of balance meant that I did not possess the fruits of the spirit.

Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

If you can think to how you act, your attitude and your thoughts when you are busy and things are not in balance are you walking in love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control?

when I got revelation of being out of control and out of balance and knowing I was not walking in the frutis of the spirit I began to repent with weeping and I had a strong desire to have my life in balance through the strenght of God.  This verse goes on to say: Galatians 5:24 "Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires".  If you are used to living a life out of balance and lacking self control you need to crucify the flesh daily.  Wake up crucifying the flesh desire to live in chaos to have so many things to do that it is impossible for you to get all that done in one days time.  The devil used to convince me that I needed to do 15 things in a day knowing that it was impossible for me to getthose things done and still spend time with kids, husband, and to rest.  But I would still try and get them done anyway and by the time I finished what I could I was so tired, fustrated, angry and moody that I was just no fun to be around.

That was not the life God wanted for me.  I thought If I was busy and getting things done that it was good.  Not knowing that getting things done and being misrable was not the results I needed.  I started studying scripture that helped me realize God's way, the way he wanted me to go about things.  I now do the things I have to do with peace, and self control because I know if it does not get done, its okay.  He said to only worry about today because the next day has enough trouble of its own Matthew 6:33-34. I no longer pile of todays stuff with tomorrow's stuff that produces unstable wavering back and fouth.  The bible says that a person that is like that should not think he will receive anything from him.  If I feel myself getting too overwhelmed I listen to a tape, CD, or recite scripture so I wont get in a unbalanced state.  I make sure I am consious of sepnding the proper amount of time on things.  There is no right or wrong time to spend time with God but it is a good idea to give him the first fruits of your morning before you start your day so he can lead you and direct your day and path.  This also helps with balance because you have already received a word from him concering your day.

Father I thank you that you have given me the ability to do things for you, my family and myself.  I ask that you order my days, I ask that you help me to balance out my daily activites so that I can walk in the fruits of the spirt. show me through your word how I can begin to walk in a life that is balanced and fully of joy, peace, love, and self control. Help me to say yes at the right time and say no at the right time.  I ask all of this in your precious Son Jesus Christ Name Amen.

Scriptures that will help you with this message

Using Gifts

We have been speaking of Gifts here on Beautiful Awakening and I want to share another scripture that the bible has to say about gifts.  Lets look at 1Peter4:10-11 in the NIV it says Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.  If anyone speaks he should do it as one speaking the very words of God.  If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever. Amen.

This is a very important scripture especially for believers because we have to realize that are gifts are not given to us just for us.  They are to be used for the glory of God.  We need to have in mind who we can help with our gifts that God has given us.  The KJV of this scripture says that As every man hath received the gift, [even so] minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

This is stating that we should use our gifts to pass them on to others.  Our gifts are not just for us.  Sometimes we get caught up in the gift especially when we are making a few dollars off of it or getting praise.  We have to be ever careful that we have our heavenly Father in mind when we are working with our gifts.  I just wanted to encourage someone this day to be mindful of what the word of God has to say about using gifts and that we should do them to the best of our ability.

God Bless

Devotional April 14th

Isaiah 55:1

“Come, all you who are thirsty,
   come to the waters;
and you who have no money,
   come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
   without money and without cost.
Why spend money on what is not bread,
and your labor on what does not satisfy?
Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good,
and you will delight in the richest of fare.
3 Give ear and come to me;
   listen, that you may live.
I will make an everlasting covenant with you,
my faithful love promised to David.
4 See, I have made him a witness to the peoples,
a ruler and commander of the peoples.
5 Surely you will summon nations you know not,
and nations you do not know will come running to you,
because of the LORD your God,
   the Holy One of Israel,
for he has endowed you with splendor.”
 6 Seek the LORD while he may be found;
call on him while he is near.
7 Let the wicked forsake their ways
   and the unrighteous their thoughts.
Let them turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on them,
and to our God, for he will freely pardon.
8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
            declares the LORD.
9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 As the rain and the snow
   come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
   without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
12 You will go out in joy
   and be led forth in peace;
the mountains and hills
will burst into song before you,
and all the trees of the field
   will clap their hands.
13 Instead of the thornbush will grow the juniper,
and instead of briers the myrtle will grow.
This will be for the LORD’s renown,
   for an everlasting sign,
   that will endure forever.”

With all your Might

For those of you who do not know about Operation Handmade blessing I would love to tell you a bit about it.  God gave me a vision to start an mission to help the needy in nursing homes and ALF's.  Since God has given me the gift of Crafting as well as teaching the word I am always seeking God to help me use every part of my being for his glory.  He gave me a vision to make items and get all the crafters that I could to make items by hand and give back to those in the nursing homes.  to learn more please visit  I got such a great response and myself along with my partners are making items like cards, bookmarks, shirt pins, hair bows, altered boxes, bracelets, earrings, crochette hats and much more.  I have received packages and have been able to give to give to 10 people so far!   I want to be able to be a blessing while i am here on earth.  I want to be able to do the work of the Lord.

Today I choose to talk about Operation Handmade Blessings because I wanted to leave you with a very important scripture.  Ecclesiates 9:10  Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.

When I first learned of this scripture is was about 7 or 8 years ago when I just had started wanting to do crafting to make money.  I was a scrapping for fun, making layouts of my daughter but when I found other projects that I can do to possible make some cash I was excited and I wanted God to bless it.  I was excited and wanted this to make money.  After praying about it and studying the bible, I came across this scripture.  I surely thought that this was a sign that this is what I was to do and I was going to make money.  That was not the case.  I made a few dollars here and there but nothing to actually do anything with.  I did get discouraged but I never ever forgot this scripture.  throughout the years I have ventured out into different elements of crafting and have found a way to make money and have got better at my craft.  I now sell items and make money off of the things I create.  But that Is not the best part.  The best part is that as I never forgot this scripture when I did anything new within the realm of crafting I did it with all my power!  Today I know why that scripture was so dear to me, not because I now make money from my crafts but because of Operation Handmade Blessings.  God have provided a way for me to use my gift for his glory and I have the knowledge of how to operate in it.  I now know that although God desires for me to profit from my labor, he first want me to do it with all my might, whether getting paid or not.  Whatever our hands find to do he want us to love it! love it for even if we are not getting paid with money we will do it anyway and with the same intergity and might just as if we were.

That is the love I have for Operation Handmade Blessings.  I am not getting paid with money but I am belssing someone else.  I am helping someone.  When we leave this world we will not be able to do any of the thing we do or love.  In the grave none of what goes on here goes on there so this scripture encourages us to do whatever it is we find our hands to do, to do it with all our power or might.  If you are sitting on a dream, a gift, a big plan consider this scripture and get moving.  For 7 years I have wondered why i was given this gift and now I truly know why God gave me this gift.  Not to make money but to bless others.  I believe that he gave this Job to me because I honored his word and did what i found my hands to do, I did it with all my power/might!  He will give you what your heart desires just show him you appreciate the gift buy using it because time is ticking and one day it will be over for that gift, that dream, that idea.

God Bless!

The Heart of The Matter

This morning I will like to talk to you about the heart of the matter.  What am I speaking of when I say the heart of the matter?  Today there are some many religions and different doctrines that are around but I would like to express what I believe and what the bible has to say.  I have ran into people who believe they have to be in church 7 days a week in order to have a relationship with God.  I have also come to know some who believe that have to do religious events in order for God to approve of them.  Being a person that I study religions a lot to see what people believe they need to do to know God, I have found that they are all complicated.  It is draining, it is frustrating, and they are all out of tune with the bible.  I am not here today to expose or every false teaching according to the bible but rather encourage those who have made a habit out of doing "stuff"  because they believe those things are making God happy.  Also for those who are searching because they are tired of being tired in their religion.  Some religions pray nine times a day because they are so afraid of God.  I believe there is something wrong with that picture.  Some are always at church and never home with their families because they believe if they are not always at the church then they are not pleasing God.  There is good news this morning there is a simple answer to those questions you may be asking yourself inside about is all these thing necessary.

Please go with me to John 10:10 states that Jesus said that he came that we may have life and life more abundantly.  And by him coming to give us life and life more abundantly this is the one things that we have to do in order to receive this abundant life.  That is in John 10:8-10 But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

This is the heart of the matter.  All we have to do is do what John 10: 9-10 says!  It is just that simple.

Now I know some are wondering what about works?  Some only feel they are saved because of works! Why because of the scripture James 2:26 Faith without works is dead.  This is an attempt to demonstrate that works are part of becoming saved.  While is is true that faith without works is dead, it isn't the works that saves us.  James is saying that if you have real and true faith, it will result in real true works of Christianity.  Like have a desire to see the poor and needy helped and have helped toward that, having the desire to go out and evangelize to the lost, give toward mission and ministries that do these sort of things, being a blessing to your church home by helping clean, etc.  These things don't make you saved because the word of God has already told us what we need to do to become saved in Romans 10:9-10.  In other words you do good good works because you are saved, not to get saved.  I hope I am helping someone today.  He isn't saying that our works are what saves us or that they, are in combination with the finished work of Christ.  Jesus told us that he came that we may have life and have it more abundantly.  And when he went to the cross before he took his last breath he said it is finished.  What he came to do which was save us was finished.

Once I got the truth about this word and that works are not what makes me saved I was so relieved because when I was doing the work it did not feel as good as it does not because I was doing it in order to obtain something that has already been freely given to me. please read 1 Corinthians 2:12.   In Romans 5:1 states "Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.  This faith is real faith, or true saving faith, not just an empty acknowledgement of God's existence, example you acknowledge God exist but non of your actions truly show that you have anything to do with him.  So this is where you want to have a meeting with yourself and examine how great is your faith and do you really have any at all.  I want to give an example of works because you are a saved and not works to become saved.

Friday Morning I was driving to the store me and my youngest daughter.  On my way driving I passed the Church I attend on Wednesday's for bible study.  While passing there I saw a bunch of newspaper that someone let loose and it was flying all over the grass of the church.  It was so much of it that I knew that I had to do something.  I knew that I have a love for the person that this building belongs to and that someone may be in need and see this church and I wanted it to look like a church.  On my way coming back from the store me and my 4 year old daughter stopped and picked up all the newspaper and got rid of it.  Now I did not do this because I felt like this will get me into heaven or this will make me saved or more saved, rather I did it because I have Jesus living on the inside of me it moved me to do a good work.  Not once did I perform this act to gain salvation.  I am already saved because I have confess Jesus and Lord, as the Son of God.

This is where we need to get to the point of doing acts of kindness and doing good works or deeds because of who it is that is already living on the inside of us.  Once we get this we will enjoy doing good works, the burden will be light, why?  Because we have them in their correct places.  I enjoy Ministering to the elderly at the nursing home, I enjoy providing teachings and devotions to this online ministry, I enjoy feeding the needy, I enjoy praying for the nursing home residents and the works, praying for you all here on Beautiful Awakening Ministry why, because I know that this the evidence that I am saved, not a way to get saved. I know that my confessing Christ has made me saved but I am now operating in his likeness, I am producing fruit!

Father In the name Jesus I thank you that you have opened my eyes to the truth of your word concerning faith and works.  I thank you that salvation is a free gift that you have given me.  I thank you that works are not what makes me saved but my trust and faith in your precious Son.  I ask that you renew my mind concerning faith and works, help me to put them in their proper place and help me to understand fully what it means to be saved.  Help me to not add or take away for your word and that I become a woman who enjoy serving you and doing works because I know what it truly means.  I pray all this is your Precious Son Jesus Christ name Amen!

God Bless,
